Within the Port of Saint John, there exists capacity to configure the terminal to suit design and spacing needs for automotive customers including creating a Vehicle Distribution Centre.

The port of Searsport, Maine, has become an important maritime destination for wind power supply developers. Searsport offers material handling janitorial service in many areas, such as bulk, break bulk, break bulk, heavy lift and liquid transfer, with the ability to store and export petroleum and gas products.

CPKC's large-scale and multi-commodity transload facility operated by WTC Group is the only transload facility in Vancouver that provides rail service for intermodal containers. Our access enables more efficient transload services for a variety of imported and exported goods.

The port receives Post-Panamax ships from Asia-Pacific markets and can provide you with an efficient and effective link between North and South American and Asian ports. As a large intermodal and industrial products port, CPKC provides a direct route from the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas to the U.S. and Canada and inland to Mexican points.

Serving the chemicals market
CPKC moves a variety of commodity and specialty chemicals for our customers. Chemicals play a key role in our everyday lives, and we help meet the demand for these products by moving raw materials and finished products out of refineries and plants into the Gulf Coast region and beyond.
Close proximity to the U.S.
The proximity of the U.S. to Mexico affords a significant advantage with faster transit times. The New Texas Shortcut enables faster access to Houston and Dallas markets by avoiding a longer route via the Panama Canal. Transporting goods from Mexico to the U.S. can generally take less time than shipping from Shanghai, resulting in greater efficiency and increased productivity. Components can also be sourced from the U.S., assembled in Mexico and shipped back to the U.S. in a short period of time.
Port Houston Complex
The Port Houston Complex represents the largest, most diverse port in the U.S., handling the most foreign waterborne traffic by tonnage. The 50-mile long port has over 200 public and private terminals and handles NeoPanamax vessel size ships. Featuring eight public wharves, two container terminals and over 700 acres of container space, it boasts the largest petrochemical manufacturing complex in the world, with thousands of acres of land yet to be developed.
